Howl-o-Ween Pumpkin Treats for Pups
Dog Treats Too Cute to Spook
My pup, London, has had a sensitive stomach since she was little, which means I’ve been cooking her meals for years to keep her healthy and happy. But with Halloween around the corner, I wanted to make her something festive and fun—without upsetting her tummy. Enter these Peanut Butter Pumpkin Treats. They’re wholesome, pup-approved, and shaped like tiny pumpkins (because why should humans have all the holiday fun?). London loves them, and I think your dog will too! 🐾
Ingredients
1 cup oats
1 carrot, chopped
1 tbsp peanut butter (no xylitol)
1 egg
½ cup pumpkin purée (unsweetened)
Green beans (for stems)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
Boil carrot until tender, then mash.
Blend oats in a blender or food processor until they resemble flour.
In a bowl, mix together oat flour, mashed carrot, peanut butter, egg, and pumpkin purée until a dough forms. (If sticky, add more oat flour.)
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet.
Use a fork to gently flatten each ball into a pumpkin shape. Press a small piece of green bean on top as the “stem.”
Bake 15 minutes or until golden. Cool completely before serving.
Serve up these festive little treats and watch your dog enjoy a safe, seasonal snack!
