The Holiday Season Is Wild—Here’s How I Ground Myself Every Morning...
My 3 Morning Rituals That Keep Me Sane During Holiday Chaos
With the chaos of the holidays in full swing, your morning rituals matter more than ever. How I start my morning completely shapes the rest of my day—especially when life feels loud, busy, and a little unhinged (thanks, holiday season).
When everything around you gets hectic, taking intentional time for yourself isn’t a luxury… it’s maintenance.
Here are 3 simple rituals that keep me grounded, clear-headed, and sane:
1. My mornings actually start the night before.
Before bed, I reset the kitchen:
dishes done
counters cleared
coffee set and ready to brew
Waking up to a clean kitchen just hits different. It makes the morning feel calmer, smoother, and way less chaotic. It’s like giving tomorrow’s version of myself a head start.
2. I move my body—no perfection required.
Ideally, I lift weights first thing.
But real life? Some mornings my body’s like, “absolutely not.” 😂
On those days, I:
go for a walk
hop on the vibration plate
do a slow stretch
Doesn’t matter what it is—movement changes my entire mood, even if I wanted to stay in bed. A little discipline upfront buys me a better day later.
3. I take 30 minutes that belong only to me.
Before I start emails, cooking, life, anything… I carve out half an hour just for me.
Usually that looks like:
coffee on the couch
a few minutes of meditation
cuddling with my pup
or just sitting in silence
Some mornings feel heavy or overstimulating, but taking this pocket of stillness gives my brain room to breathe. It resets me before the day even begins.
The holidays can pull you in every direction. These rituals pull me back to center.
What about you? What routines set you up for a good day?
Drop them in the comments—I’d love to hear what keeps you grounded.

I read this while being stiff in the bed and there’s my reminder to just MOVE.
